Elf monsters have "Elf" in its name ("Celtic Guardian" is considered as an elf for fusions) Turtle monsters have "Turtle" or "Tortoise" in its name, and Female monsters can equip female Power Ups like "Cyber Shield" (see their "Power Up Card" section in the game's card details). Some fusions require a monster from certain archetypes. Changing a monster's type or ATK will not affect the fusion result.
